New small batch incoming & introducing a super special seafood summer collection

It's already the 12th of June, and I'm only just getting around to writing my monthly blog

post. The past couple of months have been so busy with both illustration and pottery commissions, gallery sales and website orders. May was the best month I have ever had in regards to gallery sales, so massive thank you's to everyone who came down to the gallery and shopped my work!

I have been working on another small batch of pottery, which will restock my classics (stars, hearts, moons, strawberries, and now monsteras), as well as introducing a range of garlic graters and dog butter dishes. However, about 90% of these butter dishes have been commissioned pieces based on people's beloved pets, which I have thoroughly enjoyed making. Since these have been so popular, I will make a section of my website dedicated to information about these pieces and how to commission them.

I have also been working on a super small selection of summer seafood-inspired pots. They have also been inspired by Italian-style pottery. As food is one of my biggest loves in life, it seemed fitting to merge that love into my work. These pots will include both pasta bowls and a couple of dishes. I can't wait to see how they come out once fired, and it may be hard not to keep them all for myself!

Fingers crossed, the pots should come out of the bisque firing this weekend. Next week, I will be making up a new batch of clear glaze, fixing my kiln elements and sanding down my kiln shelves. Then, all being well, I will be doing a glaze firing.

I plan to launch my next small batch of pottery on June 20th (My birthday!), so keep your eyes peeled!
