December

As the year winds down, I’ve been reflecting on what a full-on and yet very heart-warming year it’s been. Running a small buisness is not easy, and this year I have been the busiest I have ever been! I took on around 180 butter dish commissions this year, which have completely taken over my practise and developed my skill-set. You heard it here first: 2026 will be the year of the butter dish!

This December, I did two wonderful Christmas markets: Froggy Goes To Market: Christmas Makers Market and The Scarborough Pottery Christmas event, both of which were an absolute joy. It was fantastic to meet so many of you in person and see some familiar faces. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, bought my work, chatted, and supported.

Back in the studio, things are still seriously busy. I’m currently still neck deep in butter dish orders, making them as quickly as the clay and kiln will allow. If you’re waiting on one, thank you so much for your patience. I know it's been a long wait!

And finally… a little personal update. Our house move is coming up fast, and with it, a fresh chapter. I can’t share all the details yet, but there’s a big announcement arriving in the new year. Let’s just say it definitely has something to do with the move—and I’m so excited to tell you more soon. It will mean a halt to production for a couple of months, but it will be all so worth it, I promise!

Wishing you a warm and restful end to the year. More updates to come soon.

Keep a keen eye on my socials and my next January blog post.
