January - 2026

It's been a very quiet, snowy, slow start to the year at the gallery. It has felt the complete opposite on my socials! This week, I had an Instagram video bring me 5000+ followers. Which has led to hundreds of messages and emails from people asking how to order!

Snow in North Yorkshire this week

Although it's a very good problem to have, I simply don't have the time to reply to everyone. However, I am so grateful and honoured that so many of you want to buy my work.

I am currently in the process of preparing to move house soon, which, as you can imagine, has been an incredibly stressful yet exciting time. My big news is that I am setting up my own studio! As I will be moving to Malton, I was worried about commuting so far every day and the time it was going to take away from being creative. Although I didn't really feel ready for it, I decided it's time to set up my own studio!

My new kiln!

So, I am currently also in the process of setting up my own studio, as well as moving house and still working full time to get butter dish orders made! I travelled 'darn South to Saffron Walden to buy a second-hand kiln. I still need to replace the elements and get my Dad to help me make an extractor for it, but I aim to get her up and running by March.

This news does mean that I will be leaving The Geall Gallery. I am sooo grateful to have spent the last 5 years working there. Chris gave me the leg-up I needed to really kick-start my pottery career, for which I am forever thankful.

New Year, new house, new studio. I'm very excited to see this year through!
