Wowzas, March came and went, and I only just realised I hadn't done a blog post on the very last day! Still time to squeeze one in :')
I will start by saying how eternally grateful I am to be kept so consistently busy again this year. I'm so proud and still amazed by how popular my bespoke butter dish commissions have become.
It has been challenging trying to find the fairest and simplest way to take on these commissions when they are in such high demand. However, I have found it a lot less overwhelming this year with my new system. Moving forward, I will open the list twice a month, each time with as many spaces as will fit in my kiln. This makes it easier for me to communicate with those who have placed a commission and keep on track.

After setting up my studio and moving house, my first batch of the year (01.03.2026) is currently in the kiln for the glaze firing. Which is super exciting! My second batch (18.03.2026) are almost all made, just a couple left to go and then they will be drying ready for their bisque. Whilst I wait for them to dry I will start work on my third batch (31.03.2026) and photograph, package and post the first batch. Working in these cycles means I always have something to be getting on with and no time is wasted. It does mean I will have slightly longer turn around times but it will be worth it for the efficiency and no pressure to rush!

Oh, and p.s. I got a shout-out on the Oh My Dog Podcast with Jack Dee & Seann Walsh last week. I highly recommend giving it a listen if you like dogs and having a laugh!
