November

November usually always feels like a month for slowing the pace—both in the studio and in life. This has completely NOT been the case this year!

We have had the busiest month of the year at The Geall Gallery, with the visit of the Flying Scotsman in the village bringing in lots more people than Grosmont is used to. I've almost completely sold out of pottery stock, and I have sold lots of illustration work too!

As well as a busy gallery month, it's been an equally busy studio month. I've still been busy making butter dishes. I'm hoping to get the November batch finished and fired this week. I have sent out emails to those who have ordered to let you know which month's batch you'll be in. Unfortunately, I still can't give exact dates. This will also be the last batch with guaranteed Christmas delivery.

I don't usually share much about my personal life, but as a little explanation as to why I am not posting on social media as much as normal, I thought I'd share. I am having to move out of my flat by the end of the year and move an hour away. My partner bought the house (which is an hour away) a few years ago as a renovation project, but it has been a looooong project in the making. We have been working every day off we have had together for the past 6 months to get it ready before we have to leave our flat. Luckily, it's almost there, so we have a house to move into. As you can imagine, it's been a stressful time to go through after taking on so many butter dish orders, too.

So after the new year, I plan to slow things down a lot and take a bit of a breather. I'm hoping to continue working at the gallery despite the commute. Due to it shaving a couple of hours from my work days, I'm just going to have to work a little less.

Thank you for reading my blog and for your continuous support!
