Big news and pots galore!
The News:
This month I took a HUGE leap of faith within my career and went full-time. Since graduating I had always balanced my career as an artist alongside part-time jobs to help make ends meet. However, since my little business has grown each year, I decided to bite the bullet and take the plunge, whatever you call it I'm finally going solo! Because if not now, then when?
But of course, I couldn't have done this alone. I'm so ever grateful to my local community who stock my work, and other small businesses that have supported me. Also, the people who buy my work, especially returning customers and those who commissioned me or bought big whilst I was starting out. You're all amazing and make all my dreams come true every day.
I owe a very special thanks to Chris, who has supported me immensely and continued to keep my residency at the Geall Gallery for the foreseeable future. Also, thanks to the Abbey Steps Coffee Shop and Tearooms who hosted my first solo exhibition and commissioned me to design their logo. Thanks to the Whitby Bookshop who continuously stocks my greeting cards. Thanks to Gutsy Gingers who commissioned me to design their postcards in my early career days and stocked my ceramic earrings back in 2018.
Potting Mad
This past month I've been primarily focusing on getting a pottery collection made, glazed and fired. This collection will feature my infamous Midnight starry range, the second coming of my Strawberry Feilds range, and an all-new singing and dancing Lovely jubbly range, a small batch of heart-patterned crockery.
This collection is currently in the kiln for glaze firing so should hopefully be ready by next week and just in time for the Whitby Musicport Festival where I will be setting up a stall in just a couple of weeks.
