This post is a little less positive than usual, but I want to share a very honest review of what’s been happening behind the scenes over the past month. You may have noticed I've been a little quieter on social media too, so here's why! It’s been quite a challenging time. Several customers haven’t responded to my emails, and a few stopped communicating entirely when it came to final payments and delivery for their bespoke butter dishes.
As a result, I’ve been left with a number of commissioned pieces that were never paid for, some of which were personalised with names and dates. Sadly, that makes them impossible to resell. It’s been incredibly disheartening and has made me reconsider how I am going to approach future commissions.
I completely understand that messages can sometimes get lost — emails can end up in spam or junk folders despite best efforts and reminders. If you ordered before June, please take a moment to check those folders and get back to me as soon as possible.
If you’ve decided not to go ahead with your order, please do let me know as soon as possible. I’m always happy to refund deposits for commissions that haven’t yet been started.
Each butter dish is entirely handmade, crafted with care to reflect the unique character of each and every dog. As a one-person business, I pour a huge amount of time and attention into every piece. I never want to rush that process, and I deeply appreciate the understanding and support of those who value the time, effort, and artistry that go into this work.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for continuing to support me and my art.
